Berries N' Cream.....The saga continues

For those of you who viewed and enjoyed the Starburst Berries N' Cream commercial that I blogged about last month, here is another discovery on YouTube. Apparantly our little laddie is more popular than I ever imagined (and I thought I was the only one who saw this commercial when it ran on tv). Now, you too can do the little lad berries n' cream dance with this how-to video. Enjoy!!!

FIRST OFFICIAL HAIRCUTS!!!

The girls were in desperate need of haircuts and I was ready to let go of their baby hair so my sister and I took them to Kiddie Kastle here in Cypress and the deed was done. Here is Natalie's before and after shot. She was super happy to sit in the little car and was doing fine until Tessa started screaming bloody murder. Luckily the girls cutting their hair worked quickly....

And here we have little Miss Tessa Diva. Sure she's smiling but about 10 seconds later she was a hysterical mess. Good thing she's cute.

Well, no matter how much they loved or hated this experience, it's nice not having hair in their face anymore and now they look so grown up!

THE LASTEST PICS OF THE OFFICIAL 1-YEAR-OLDS!!!

Well, we took the girls in for the 1-year photos and they turned out soooo cute. This time it was Tessa who was the super-ham. Go figure. Anyway, here's a few of the shots. Enjoy. Tomorrow they go for their first non-mom haircuts. Hopefully, it won't be too traumatic for them! Stay tuned for some before and after shots! Don't tell me you aren't jealous of that back fat! Just kidding. Too cute! Natalie didn't want to smile but it was a cute shot anyway. My little superstar of the day, Tessa. I wanted the girls to give each other kisses. This shows the progression from Tessa totally dissing Natalie to the two of them giving each other "loves". I love these shots!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TESSA AND NATALIE!!!

Well, we survived the first year and they're still alive (although it was close). We had a little birthday party at the park next door to Jeremy's parent's house on the 14th with family and a few close friends. It was a lot of fun and the girls made out like bandits. In the picture above, they're wearing tutus made by our friend Kristie and they looked adorable. The hats were from their great-grandma Lynette and no, they don't keep them on. Here they are eating a delicious lunch of meat and cheese. They were very happy girls and ate all their food. Here's the cake that we got at Albertson's. Funny story. When I ordered the cake and they saw that it was for a 1st birthday, they offered two individual cakes for the girls at no extra cost so I said sure. Well, when I picked them up on the morning of their birthday, there was the sheet cake above as well as 2 eight inch rounds, one for each girl. I was thinking they would get little mini cakes, so I was surprised. In the next picture, they each got a quarter of one of the individual cakes and look how much that is. Needless to say, we had plenty of leftover cake.

This past year has just gone by so fast and I'm so grateful to be the mother of two beautiful, healthy (duh) girls. I can't imagine our lives without them and I'm so excited to see what this next year holds in store for us.

FUN AT THE WARD OLYMPICS!!!

Natalie loved her pickle....too bad, she smelled like it the rest of the night! We think there may be something seriously wrong with Tessa's tongue... Here are the girls with their little friend, Makenzy, enjoying their treasured pickles. I think they all sat there chewing on/gumming those pickles for 20 minutes until all the was left was the skin. Gross!
Later, the girls participated in the "swimming" event where they did the "crawl". It was so cute because everyone who had babies that were crawling got to participate. Jeremy stayed at the start line with the girls and I was on the other side of the finish line. I was allowed one "enticement" per child. Well, I know my girls pretty well so I got two bottles ready. Big surprise that they went for the food. On your mark, get set, go and the girls were off. They totally smoked everybody (no offense to those of you reading this whose children also participated, I'm just being a proud mommy). They took one look at those bottles and that was all the incentive they needed. Surprise, surprise, Natalie crossed the line and enjoyed her the spoils first. Tessa was not too far behind. Then it was funny to watch all the other parents trying to get their kids across. Anyway, here are pics of both girls with their "gold medals" and their rewards.

OUR FAVORITE COMMERCIAL FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE!!!

OK, I saw this commerical on TV one day and thought of my husband. Mostly because he loves candy and because he's a nut (which I love about him). Anyway, I showed it to him and it quickly became one of our favorite commercials ever so.... we found it on youtube. Now, you too can enjoy the happiness that is the Starburst Berries N Cream lad that we have come to adore. Or maybe, you'll just realize why the commercial was not on TV for very long....
